Two Years In, Another Very Busy Week – Join Us!

In November of 2012, the Stamford Innovation Center opened its doors and we set off on a mission to support the growth of the tech and startup community in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Over time we’ve been blown away by the response to our events, coworking, classes and other offerings. We’ve come to know so many interesting and accomplished people in our region.

We are more certain than ever that our mission is not only important, but that the goal is shared by a great many people and that we can best achieve that goal through partnerships.

So we’re delighted when established firms and organizations bring their energy and expertise to SIC. For example, this week we have three outstanding activities from groups with great expertise:

IP Law Leader McCarter and English is teaching a free class on “Legal Issues in Intellectual Property” on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30pm. Click here to protect your intellectual property.

Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network continues to grow its programming and engage with their very enthusiastic base. This Thursday, 10/16 at 6:30pm they are holding an event called Startup 101 – A Successful Roadmap to Entrepreneurship (along with HBS Alumni Angels and law firm Withers Bergman). Learn how to make your startup successful.

Interested in Crowdfunding?  Like Pancakes?  Our New Haven-based friends from Social Media Sync are running a seminar on Crowdfunding on Thursday, 10/16 at 9am.  Free pancakes and coffee? Sign me up!

We’d love to get to know you and to share our events and activities with you. The best way to get to know our community? Come to Hacker Night. Beer, pizza, advice, and networking? Let’s do this!

Second best way? Join our Mailing list: Hey, SIC! Keep me posted.

Or follow us on Twitter. Or friend us on Facebook.

Anyway, if you are reading this, we consider you part of the community. Thanks for your enthusiasm and input. That’s what gets us excited to get to work every day.  Let us know what you think. Drop us a line at team <at>
