On Wednesday, March 23rd 2016 Andy Greenawalt came to the Stamford Innovation Center to tell the origin story of Continuity, one of the fastest growing businesses in the state of Connecticut. Hear about the wins and losses, the mistakes and brilliant moves they made along the way in the latest in the “SIC Startup Success Series.”
This is a great opportunity to get to know one of the area’s most successful entrepreneurs.
Andy is a serial Inc. 500 entrepreneur, inventor, angel investor and author. Prior to Continuity, he founded Perimeter eSecurity where he invented security-in-the-cloud and pioneered the As-a-Service industry. The time at Perimeter, serving thousands of financial institutions, provided insight to the compliance burden community banks face, and inspired the founding of Continuity. He studied philosophy and linguistics at UMass Amherst and currently serves on the boards of the Connecticut Technology Council and the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. One of Andy’s favorite quotes “Entrepreneurs are heat-seeking missiles, bet on the market and the people. The direction the missile is aimed at the moment of launch is fairly inconsequential.” -Josh Kopelman
This is the latest in our Startup Success Series that has included Kayak, Gigmasters, Brian Cohen (NY Angels) and Marc Michel (Metamorphic). Videos from those events can be found here.
