Teach Entrepreneurship to Local Kids!

Image of pupils raising arms during the lesson

As the SIC team continues to execute on our mission of growing the tech and startup community in CT, we’ve uncovered a great mentoring opportunity for entrepreneurs with limited availability – you can teach a class on entrepreneurship to local kids.

Our friends at Junior Achievement of Southwest CT are celebrating National Entrepreneurship Month with JA Launch, an exciting program that provides young people with an opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs to help them better understand the benefits and challenges of starting a business.

All you have to do to volunteer is fill out this form:

JA’s Dana Ross will get back to you with several options of schools and towns where kids want to hear from entrepreneurs like you!

JA Launch Lessons are:

  • Pre-built, 1 hour-long presentations in the classroom
  • Easy to implement but highly impactful
  • Designed for today’s business owner

JASWCT looks forward to placing entrepreneurs in high school classrooms in the Lower Fairfield County area.

If you are interested in presenting a Launch Lesson or you are a teacher who would like a lesson in your classroom, please fill out this form.

Lesson guides can be accessed from the JA Launch Lesson site. You can learn more about this national initiative at ja.org/entrepreneurs.
