“Workshop for women restarting careers

Starting March 3, the Stamford Innovation Center and the Stamford Jewish Community Center are running a 10-week program to help women return to the workforce. Sessions run Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. The full program costs $1,450, with five-week sessions costing $750 apiece. Sessions cover career options and skills, job-search tactics, and resume building. In the final week, corporate human resources representatives will give feedback on interviewing and career planning, with Webster Bank, Merrill Lynch, Pitney Bowes and TIAA-CREF among those that have committed to participating.
