What are the defining characteristics of today’s dynamic work place? Which career management strategies no longer work, and which strategies and mindsets have taken their place? The world of work has pervasively changed, and many of the time-honored ways in which we’ve managed our careers no longer apply.  In this panel, Laura Powers, Peter Dubner, and Peter Propp offer discussion and insights on the new rules of career success.

Peter Dubner is an Executive Career Consultant and Job Search Coach who has helped hundreds of executives achieve successful career transitions. He is widely regarded for his ability to help individuals develop high-payoff career strategies — and then execute successfully through a disciplined multi-channel plan. Currently an executive advisor with Crenshaw Associates, a C-level advisory and transition firm, Peter also has a private coaching practice, and is co-developer of the Job Search Diagnostic™, a unique, patent-pending, online resource that helps professionals accelerate their job search ( Previously, he was an executive career coach for 10 years with Right Management, a global career management leader. Peter Propp has spent his career helping consumer and b2b companies develop and execute marketing and business development strategies to address business needs. He is responsible for Marketing, Business Development, Sponsorships, and Strategy for the Stamford Innovation Center. Previous careers include 15 years at IBM where he was the original business development manager for IBM’s WebSphere product family, and later ran global marketing efforts for WebSphere and IBM Partnerworld Industry Networks.
