Stamford, Conn., July 27, 2016: The software industry continues to innovate new, more powerful means of creating products & services. At the forefront of this innovation are JavaScript frameworks – novel means of writing code to achieve things in easier, faster or otherwise better ways. Led by efforts from Google, Facebook, IBM and others, the growth of frameworks has greatly improved the efficiency and power of software developers.

The Northeast JavaScript Conference was created to address this fast growing segment of the software industry, and provide world-class opportunities for area engineers and developers to learn about how these frameworks are used. With speakers from IBM,, Starwood and others, the Northeast JavaScript Conference addresses both what frameworks are and how to use them.

“Javascript frameworks like Angular.js and React.js are critical to making our team productive” said Alex Bachuk, director of front-end development at “We’re excited to see an event of this caliber in Connecticut, and are looking forward to participating.”

The Northeast JavaScript Conference is part of the larger Stamford Technology Week, a five day series of events designed to support and build the regions access to talent. Whereas the Stamford Hackathon and STEM Hackathon college, hobbyists and professionals, the JavaScript conference is expressly designed to attract and engage established professionals who are always looking to improve their skills and broaden their toolkit.

JavaScript and its frameworks are especially suited to workforce improvement, as the same basic coding language can be applied to everything from mobile apps to website to servers – something few other technologies can achieve.

“This is exactly the type of conference I encourage our developers at Starwood to attend,” noted Jeff Fox, Front End/Digital Experience Technology Leader at Starwood Hotels, “With the technical landscape changing so rapidly these days, it’s critical to stay on top of new technologies and emerging standards and that’s exactly what this conference will offer.”
