Liquidaty Wins UberPITCH 2016 in Stamford, CT

Last night  (November 16, 2016) The Refinery hosted another outstanding, packed, pitch event for female entrepreneurs at the Stamford Innovation Center — it was the finals of Fueling the Growth, a program The Refinery ran with UBER and with the backing of the Kaufman Foundation. Following a an extensive multi-month pitching process that started with short UBERPitch rides with investors in multiple cities, at the end of the night Liquidaty co-founder Lisa Wong brought in first prize of $50,000.

It was a truly amazing night for entrepreneurs from Connecticut and around the nation. Kicking off the night, 25 UberPITCH semifinalists showcased their companies. Investors selected the top ten pitches for a final round. The final pitches were all outstanding, with Liquidaty the winner of the top prize.

It all started with a ride in an UBER.

On October 26, 2016, selected entrepreneurs in Stamford, New Haven, Washington DC, Providence, and Kansas City took Uber rides with a top investor. Throughout these 5 cities, 150 women entrepreneurs pitched their tech to investors during a 15 minute ride, dubbed UberPITCH 2016.
